Chris Jarvis

Chris Jarvis is best known as one half of the double-act Chris and Pui on Cbeebies, pre-school television from the BBC. Together with Pui Fan Lee, he hosts Show me show me an indoor discovery of the world around us – with songs, sketches, makes, stories and rhymes find out more at

Also on Cbeebies, Chris brings stories to life with impressions and funny voices in Step Inside. Meanwhile, on CITV, he adopts the more energetic role of jungle guide as host of Jungle Run.

He starred in Maths Mansion for Channel 4 and a variety of shows for the BBC, including: the teen magazine Fully Booked, sketch show The Friday Zone, Short Change, Look Sharp, Playdays and The Broom Cupboard. In character, he played the Anorak and starred in Wood Lane TV. He provided voices for Dream Street and Underground Ernie and guest-starred in ChuckleVision and The Demon Headmaster.

Chris became involved in amateur dramatics from an early age but his greatest inspiration was his grandmother, who was a dancer in some of the great London Palladium pantomimes. In her footsteps, he has appeared in many professional pantos in such prestigious venues as Swansea, Richmond, Bromley, Basingstoke and, of course, Bournemouth.

Tobias Ellwood MP


Tobias was elected as Member of Parliament for Bournemouth East in May 2005. In January 2006 he was appointed Opposition Whip and in July 2007 was promoted to the post of Shadow Minister for Culture Media and Sport where he was responsible for a portfolio including tourism, gambling and licensing. After the May 2010 General Election Tobias was appointed Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Defence Secretary, the Rt. Hon Liam Fox MP. In October 2011 Tobias was appointed Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Minister for Europe the Rt. Hon David Lidington MP in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

Since being elected an MP Tobias has pioneered the concept of ‘social action’ within the Party – the first ever Conservative social action project took place in Springbourne, Bournemouth. The concept of raising funds and rallying MPs and volunteers around an identified community project is now well established and Tobias regularly leads projects both in the UK and abroad.

Tobias is married to Hannah and they have a son, Alexander who was born in October 2008. Their constituency home is in Strouden, Bournemouth. Tobias is a governor at Queen's Park Infant School, Bournemouth and has also been a borough councillor. He is involved in a number of other local charities including Caring Canines and Boscombe’s Crumbs Café.
